Pediatric Float Pharmacist (PRN)

About the role

Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Float Pharmacist on a PRN basis to support Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The role provides flexible coverage across neonatal and pediatric units, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care to neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Support drug distribution and perform clinical interventions.
• Participate in investigational drug studies and serve on pediatric medical committees.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents, and contribute to teaching programs.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, verify orders, and answer clinical queries.
• Act as a consultant for medical staff and oversee patient therapy, including pharmacokinetic services.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science (non‑nursing) degree.
• Registered pharmacist with a valid state license.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• 1‑2 years of experience with automated dispensing devices.
• Residency training and experience with pharmacy information systems.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
