Portfolio Solutions Manager

About the role

Howden Ireland, part of the global insurance group Howden, is hiring a Portfolio Solutions Manager for its Markets team, based in the Ringsend office in Dublin. The role supports the delivery of the company's placement strategy, including retail schemes, and works with senior colleagues to develop, deliver and manage portfolio solutions in line with that strategy. It is a driver of placement planning, management and execution, in liaison with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and define portfolio and scheme strategy, scope and objectives with relevant stakeholders.
• Deliver assigned projects and contribute to others, and advise the business on strategy and growth.
• Develop and maintain insurer relationships and help align insurer partners with the business.
• Create good practices, tools and processes for portfolio and scheme management, and measure performance using appropriate systems and tools.
• Produce reports on key performance metrics, maintain documentation (PIDs, business cases, KPIs) and identify and escalate risks.
• Act as escalation point for insurer queries, resolve issues and promote the company's values and reputation externally.
• Follow compliance and governance practices, keep records up to date, complete regulatory training and adhere to the Employee Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• 8+ years' experience, preferably in portfolio management, placement or schemes.
• Demonstrable experience delivering portfolios from start-up to benefits realisation.
• CIP qualified; degree standard desirable but not essential.
• Awareness of the compliance and regulatory environment.
• Organised, analytical, problem-solving, customer-focused and able to meet tight deadlines.
