Primary Teacher

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher for Kilnamanagh Community National School for the 2026/27 academic year. This is a fixed‑term, 25‑hour per week position focused on delivering the national curriculum and supporting student learning in accordance with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess primary‑level lessons across the curriculum.
• Provide individualized support to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to foster a positive learning environment.
• Uphold professional standards and school policies at all times.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Relevant experience teaching primary‑age children is desirable.
• Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
