Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring all production and maintenance activities to meet customer demand and established specifications. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role ensures efficient use of resources, high quality output, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the production team to achieve output, waste, yield, and efficiency targets.
• Attend daily production meetings, address issues, and coordinate overtime with the Plant Manager.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, overtime, and annual leave.
• Delegate work, monitor production tools, probes, and machine parts, and ensure equipment is operated safely.
• Review production data (downtime, waste, non‑conformances) and ensure compliance with quality and CCP requirements.
• Conduct employee appraisals, handle grievances, and support disciplinary actions with HR.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment and promote energy and waste management.
• Update and train staff on SOPs, ensuring they reflect best practice and are reviewed annually.
• Liaise with maintenance and other supervisors to guarantee uninterrupted material supply.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a production or manufacturing team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules, overtime, and leave.
• Ability to analyse production data and implement corrective actions.
• Good communication skills for cross‑department collaboration.
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
