Professional Car Valeter – Full‑time

About the role

Mercedes‑Benz Cork is seeking a dedicated full‑time Valeter to join its modern indoor valeting department. You will ensure every new and used vehicle leaving the showroom meets the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Hand‑wash vehicles using a twin‑grit guard bucket system to prevent stone carry‑over.
• Apply body solvent for decontamination of tar, road grime, honey‑dew and bug splatter.
• Dry vehicles with deep‑pile microfibre towels and dress tyres, exterior plastics and door trims.
• Perform paint correction to remove light swirl marks and enhance gloss.
• Shampoo and dry carpets using a wet‑suction vacuum cleaner.
• Clean and protect all leather surfaces, air vents, button surrounds and interior fascia with aerospace‑grade products.
• Vacuum carpets, clean interior windows and apply Mercedes‑Benz approved protection products.
• Inspect new and used cars with sales and service staff before customer hand‑over.
• Maintain the used‑car display area to third‑party audit standards.
• Keep the work area tidy, organised and compliant with health‑and‑safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in vehicle valeting or detailing.
• Full, clean and current driving licence.
• Trustworthy, reliable and conscientious.
• Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Flexibility in approach to work.
