Professional Services Engineer – French Speaker

About the role

NetApp is looking for a Senior Professional Services Engineer to join its global 24x7 Storage Operations team. The role provides Level 3 support for Platform and Managed Services customers, focusing on incident response, problem management and infrastructure improvements while leveraging French language skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 3 support including incident response, service requests, problem management and ONTAP upgrades.
• Lead delivery teams as an escalation point, track project status and provide customer training or knowledge‑transfer sessions.
• Drive infrastructure improvements, perform storage backup, disaster‑recovery testing and support cloud infrastructure components.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English with strong verbal and written communication.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (or 6 years with a master’s degree) in storage engineering.
• Basic understanding of AI and generative‑AI tools to enhance troubleshooting and documentation.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience working in outsourced or managed‑services environments.

• Management tools: OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, ActiveIQ.
• Storage protocols: CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel.
• Cloud and hybrid solutions: CVO, StorageGrid, E‑Series, Cloud Backup, DII, Amazon FSxN for ONTAP.
• Container storage: Trident, OpenShift, OpenStack.
• Monitoring platforms: Logic Monitor, WAN/SAN monitoring.
• Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, related security hardening.
• Compute/virtualisation: FlexPod, Cisco UCS, IBM Blade Center, VMware vSphere, Commvault.
• Linux system administration and object‑storage APIs (S3).
• Familiarity with GCP, Azure or AWS and related cloud certifications (optional).
