Programme Director

About the role

The Programme Director provides academic leadership to ensure high‑quality delivery of programmes and an excellent learner experience across our Dublin, Limerick and Cork campuses. Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the role combines programme coordination, quality assurance, learner support and collaboration with academic and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teaching, learning and programme delivery while upholding academic integrity.
• Develop and enhance programmes, support new academic initiatives and ensure compliance with PSRB requirements.
• Deliver modules as needed and support lecturers in using virtual learning platforms such as Moodle.
• Act as primary contact for student academic, pastoral and administrative matters, fostering progression, retention and satisfaction.
• Oversee dissertation processes, including supervision, workshops, marking and viva examinations.
• Chair Programme Committee activities, manage timetabling, lecturer appointments, inductions and examination boards.
• Coordinate with Academic Administration, Marketing and other teams on recruitment, registration, progression and examinations.
• Support marketing events, open evenings, inductions, graduations and outreach activities.

Required profile

• NFQ qualification one level above the programme(s) level or equivalent experience.
• Significant higher‑education lecturing experience.
• Proven ability to provide academic leadership and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in quality assurance, programme review and stakeholder engagement.
