Project Engineer - Hyperscale Cooling

About the role

Silent Aire, a Johnson Controls company, designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data centre solutions. It is looking for a Project Engineer in Dublin who will support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination, manage several projects at once and keep site installation and commissioning running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with project execution, covering delivery, coordination, records and reporting, document control and internal coordination across Engineering, Manufacturing and QA/QC.
• Communicate with the general contractor and client team on site, escalate issues to the Project Manager and ensure project costs stay controlled and within budget.
• Translate client needs into practical timelines for the site team and produce accurate reports for management.
• Monitor and record delays and issues on site that could have commercial impact, and seek ways to streamline installation and commissioning.
• Share responsibility for procurement, supplier relations, continuous improvement, mentoring team members and lessons learned.
• Make minor design adjustments to improve site efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 3 years' experience in a site managerial role in manufacturing or construction.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, and a full driver's licence.
• Desirable: experience delivering HVAC systems in the data centre industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read technical drawings, including P&IDs and electrical diagrams.
• Good organisation, attention to detail and proactive, solution-oriented approach.
