Public Procurement Specialist – Portlaoise

About the role
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join a public sector organisation in Portlaoise. You will manage end‑to‑end public procurement processes, ensuring full compliance with EU and national regulations while delivering value‑for‑money outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage tender processes (RFT/RFQ).
- Ensure compliance with EU Directive 2014/24/EU and national procurement frameworks.
- Draft tender documentation, evaluation criteria, and contract award reports.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Support audits and maintain robust procurement records.
Required profile
- Proven experience in public sector or public procurement (essential).
- Strong knowledge of EU procurement law and frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Relevant third‑level qualification in procurement, law, or business (preferred).
- Public Procurement Law qualification or certification is an advantage.
