Python Developer – AI & Serverless (Dublin)

About the role

Our Dublin‑based client is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a Python Developer to join a new AI-focused, serverless squad. You will work on building reliable, scalable, and secure applications that leverage AWS services and AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain Python‑based software in a serverless environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and architects to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Contribute to system design and technical decisions for cloud‑native applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues.
• Help improve development processes, CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design and clean‑code principles.
• Experience delivering projects with an AI focus.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• AWS serverless services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript (beneficial but not essential).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Git and Docker.
• Monitoring and logging tools.
