Quality Assurance Technician – Food Production

About the role

The Quality Assurance Technician ensures food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance for finished dairy products at Ornua's manufacturing site. Working closely with operations, maintenance and quality teams, the technician supports HACCP implementation and maintains high standards of plant hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain food safety and quality of all finished products during shift.
• Ensure full implementation of HACCP, operational procedures and work instructions.
• Complete accurate shift records and documentation.
• Maintain plant hygiene to exceed Department of Agriculture, BRC and customer requirements.
• Perform analytical testing on raw materials and finished products.
• Address non‑conformances, coordinate with suppliers and support audit activities.
• Conduct training and competency checks for personnel.
• Support Health & Safety initiatives within the production environment.

• Strong collaboration skills with operations, maintenance and quality teams.
• Attention to detail for record keeping and compliance documentation.
