Quality Control Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join a leading food manufacturing site in Athy, Co. Kildare. The role supports laboratory testing, raw material approvals, product quality checks, and manufacturing trials for juice powders, flavourings, and ingredient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine QC laboratory testing including Brix, pH, turbidity, and related wet chemistry analysis.
• Test incoming raw materials and finished products against defined specifications.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and COAs.
• Support HACCP, GMP, and GLP compliance activities.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Manage retained samples, laboratory inventory, and sample storage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QC function.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Quality, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in wet chemistry or bench testing within food, beverage, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Effective communication and computer skills.
• Residence within a realistic commuting distance to Athy (approximately 40 minutes).
