Quality Engineer – Fixed‑Term Manufacturing Role

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Gort on a three‑month fixed‑term contract. You will support daily quality operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily quality activities across production processes.
- Investigate customer complaints, internal non‑conformances, and supplier quality issues.
- Lead or assist root‑cause analyses using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.
- Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyse quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with internal audits and support external customer or certification audits.
- Maintain quality documentation, work instructions, inspection plans and records.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and other teams to improve product quality.
- Support validation and change‑control activities as required.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Proven experience with root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
