About the role
We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams at a fast‑growing life‑sciences manufacturing site in Westmeath. The role will be central to maintaining GMP compliance, driving continuous improvement, and representing the site during audits, inspections and customer visits.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and resource‑plan the combined QA and QC teams (approximately six members).
- Maintain a strong quality culture and ensure GMP ownership across the site.
- Act as the site Quality Management Representative for internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and customer interactions.
- Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including procedures, documentation, training, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, complaints and risk management.
- Oversee QC laboratory activities, ensuring work follows approved methods, SOPs, GMP and data‑integrity requirements.
- Provide quality input for new product introductions, process changes, validation, scale‑up and technical transfers.
- Lead audit preparation, support inspections and ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
Required profile
- Level 8 qualification in Science, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Minimum eight years’ experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment with proven people‑leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of QMS and regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, IPEC GMP and ISO 14971.
- Experience managing deviations, CAPAs, change control, supplier quality, complaints and audits.
- Working knowledge of equipment qualification, process validation and cross‑functional project delivery.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability, sound judgment and a practical risk‑based mindset.
