R&D Engineer II

About the role

Integer is seeking an R&D Engineer II to contribute to the development of innovative medical devices. The role involves applying engineering methods, evaluating designs, and supporting product and process improvements while adhering to regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques and tools to develop and refine medical device components and processes.
• Conduct failure analysis, evaluate existing products, and recommend improvements.
• Participate in moderate‑complexity projects, documenting and implementing new product and process technologies.
• Plan, schedule, and execute engineering tasks within larger projects or lead smaller‑scope initiatives.
• Review procedures, work instructions, and specifications to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, QMS, and company policies.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (B.S. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Experience applying engineering concepts in a regulated environment, preferably medical devices.
• Ability to work independently with occasional guidance and to communicate technical information clearly.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with general engineering methods and tools.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems, and safety/environmental standards.
