Red Team Operator

About the role

The Red Team Operator will join Sun Life’s Information Security team to simulate realistic cyber‑attacks, uncover hidden vulnerabilities and help strengthen the organization’s defenses. You will work alongside seasoned security experts, contributing to proactive security assessments that go beyond traditional penetration testing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, report and present Red Team assessments, attack simulations and adversary emulations.
• Collaborate closely with other Red Team members throughout mission planning and execution.
• Perform network penetration testing, web and mobile application testing, source code reviews, threat analysis and social‑engineering assessments.
• Develop custom scripts, tools and programs to support Red Team operations.
• Manage, maintain and improve a cloud‑based command‑and‑control (C2) environment on platforms such as AWS, Azure and DigitalOcean.
• Research and develop techniques for security control evasion and bypass.
