Registrar O&G – 6‑Month Contract in Limerick

About the role

Direct Medics is seeking an experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar to join University Hospital Limerick on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The position starts as soon as possible and offers the opportunity to work within a leading Irish teaching hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Manage labour and delivery suites, including emergency situations.
• Perform obstetric and gynaecological procedures under supervision.
• Run outpatient clinics and conduct routine follow‑up appointments.
• Participate in the on‑call rota and respond to urgent cases.
• Supervise junior doctors and medical students.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols.

Required profile

• Fully qualified medical doctor with a valid registration to practise in Ireland.
• Experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, preferably at registrar level.
• Ability to start immediately and commit to a six‑month placement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
