Reliability Engineer – Maintenance Excellence

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer you will support the Maintenance Excellence Program at our client’s site, applying advanced reliability engineering methods to improve equipment performance and drive cost savings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and obtain senior‑leadership endorsement for a reliability roadmap for the business unit.
• Lead Reliability‑Centred Maintenance, Root‑Cause Analysis, Preventive‑Maintenance optimisation and reliability‑improvement projects.
• Expand the predictive‑maintenance programme, maintain a rolling yearly log of cost‑saving outcomes.
• Analyse highly automated machinery, create a “top‑10 bad actor” profile and execute actions on the three highest‑value detractors.
• Link improvement actions to financial benefits and prioritise based on business impact.
• Build strong relationships with Global Engineering, local engineering and maintenance teams.
• Contribute to the reliability‑engineering community of practice and smart‑maintenance initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Champion good EHS practices and support the site safety culture.

Required profile

• Third‑level engineering qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a regulated and/or highly automated environment.
• Strong data‑analytics capability.
• Experience or certification in reliability engineering and continuous improvement (Green Belt, CMRP or CRL preferred).
• Proven ability to analyse machinery, design and implement improvements and quantify gains in OEE.
