Revenue Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to ensure that revenue is recognised accurately in line with US GAAP (ASC 606) and SOX requirements. The role will partner with Sales, Services and Finance teams to manage a portfolio of customers and deliver reliable revenue reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and revenue arrangements to confirm compliance with ASC 606.
• Partner with Sales and Services to validate quarterly forecasts and revenue expectations.
• Execute quarter‑end close activities, preparing and documenting revenue journal entries.
• Prepare and analyse revenue‑related balance‑sheet accounts, ensuring timely reconciliation.
• Identify revenue‑impacting terms in legal contracts and communicate findings.
• Maintain complete audit documentation for internal and external audits.
• Build strong relationships with Finance, Sales, Legal and Operations stakeholders.
• Identify and support process‑improvement, system‑enhancement and automation initiatives.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects and continuous‑improvement tasks as required.

Required profile

• Experience in revenue accounting, quarter‑end close and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
• Ability to interpret customer contracts and assess revenue implications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce audit‑ready documentation.
• Proactive mindset for process optimisation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills
