Road Freight Operator

About the role

As a Road Freight Operator at DSV in Naas, you will play a pivotal role in keeping supply chains moving smoothly. You will be responsible for ensuring cargo is transported safely, efficiently, and on time from origin to final destination, supporting DSV’s global logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full transport process, from booking through to final delivery.
• Communicate with customers, internal teams, hauliers, and international partners to maintain smooth operations.
• Coordinate transport, secure capacity, and negotiate rates when required.
• Prepare transport documentation, invoices, and handle operational administration.
• Monitor shipments, proactively resolve issues, and ensure compliance with SLAs, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage costs and support revenue and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Confident communication and customer‑service approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage pressure.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Freight forwarding or transport experience is an advantage.
