SAP Integration Architect – SAP BTP Integration Suite

About the role

Join a fast‑paced, high‑quality SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformation programme that will unify retail, foodservice and wholesale operations for a leading Irish business. As the Integration Architect for SAP BTP Integration Suite, you will shape the end‑to‑end integration landscape, set governance standards and work closely with business, IT and external partners to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Define the integration strategy and target architecture for the S/4HANA greenfield programme across retail, wholesale and foodservice domains.
• Design integration patterns and standards using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh and S/4HANA integration approaches.
• Own integration governance, including design authority, review processes and adherence to security and quality standards.
• Translate programme needs into integration roadmaps, interface inventories and architectural decisions that unblock delivery teams.
• Provide hands‑on leadership for S/4HANA integrations such as OData/REST APIs, IDocs, EDI and hybrid scenarios involving legacy systems.
• Coordinate stakeholders across business, IT and external partners to ensure proactive decision‑making and smooth execution.
• Guide integration build and delivery, reviewing designs for consistency, performance and maintainability.
• Communicate architecture decisions through documentation, solution briefs and stakeholder updates for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Identify integration risks early, propose mitigations and support programme milestones with actionable plans.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in lead integration architecture roles.
• Strong domain knowledge in grocery retail, high‑volume wholesale or foodservice environments.
• Proven track record designing and governing enterprise integration for SAP S/4HANA programmes, preferably greenfield transformations.
• Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior business and IT stakeholders.
