Security Developer

About the role

Join a globally distributed team that protects one of the world’s most widely used programming ecosystems. As a Security Developer you will work on open‑source software protection, coordinating vulnerability remediation, responding to incidents, and improving secure development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, triage and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities in Python‑based projects and related components.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate malware and supply‑chain threats across package repositories.
• Maintain and enhance security infrastructure, automation and tooling for vulnerability management and incident response.
• Develop scalable workflows and technical solutions to improve security operations efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to establish secure development practices, threat models and vulnerability management processes.
• Produce technical documentation on security architecture, vulnerability handling procedures and best practices.
• Research security trends, collect operational metrics and contribute to technical reports and public communications.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional software development experience with Python, C or C++.
• Strong understanding of software security principles, common vulnerabilities and memory‑safety concepts.
• Experience with vulnerability management, responsible disclosure, CVEs, incident response or threat modeling.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while producing clear written documentation.
