Security & Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Security & Network Engineer to design, implement and maintain our organisation’s network and security architecture. The role will act as the primary technical resource for executing the security strategy, managing IT assets and supporting secure staff transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi and VPN services, configuring routers, switches, wireless access points and firewalls (PFSense, FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
• Lead implementation and management of security tools such as IDPS, antivirus/anti‑malware solutions and SIEM platforms (Splunk, LogRhythm, Log360).
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, provisioning and de‑provisioning hardware and access rights.
• Configure and enforce access controls, identity management and network segmentation using ACLs.
• Monitor network performance, conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
• Participate in incident response investigations and provide technical mentorship to junior staff.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in network implementation and technical security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cybersecurity.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
