Security Officer

About the role

Join Securitas Security Services as a Security Officer in Ovens, County Cork. You will help protect client assets, prevent loss and ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all required training for the assigned site.
• Carry out duties outlined in the Assignment Instructions and suggest improvements.
• Monitor CCTV systems where required.
• Identify and immediately report health and safety hazards.
• Stay alert to potential threats and take appropriate action to minimise disruption.
• Document incidents promptly for the Incident Report process.

Required profile

• Fluent English.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a similar security role.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Strong PC skills.
• First Aid training.
• Customer‑service orientation and professional telephone manner.
• Flexible availability for days, nights and weekends.
• Valid PSA licence (Safe Pass desirable).
• Own transport and a clean driver’s licence are advantageous.
