Security Risk Engineer – AI Systems

About the role

Ekco is looking for a Security Risk Engineer specialized in AI Systems to join its Technical Advisory team. You will help clients adopt AI technologies safely by assessing risks, designing controls, and guiding secure implementation across products, platforms, and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical security risk assessments for applications, products, platforms and AI‑enabled systems.
• Analyse architectures, technology stacks, integrations, data flows and trust boundaries.
• Validate findings through hands‑on testing, proof‑of‑concept development or security tooling.
• Identify threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities and business risks in both traditional and AI environments.
• Perform threat‑modeling exercises for applications, products and AI/LLM implementations.
• Evaluate existing security controls and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Assess AI adoption risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, model misuse, and advise on secure design principles.

Required profile

• Strong technical security expertise with a curiosity for emerging technologies.
• Excellent client‑facing communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Passion for understanding how complex technology systems operate beneath the surface.
