Senior Accountant – Accounting & Financial Reporting

About the role

The University College Dublin Finance Office is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead accounting and financial reporting activities. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Financial Reporting and Operations, you will ensure accurate statutory statements, audit compliance, and timely month‑end and year‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and US GAAP.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing cycles, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support lender covenant reporting and maintain internal control frameworks.
• Assist with accounting separation and other ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with extensive experience in financial reporting.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage complex closing processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
