Senior Accountant

About the role

This senior accountant position sits within the finance team of a well‑established Irish real‑estate investment and development firm. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing budgeting, forecasting and project‑accounting support for a portfolio of active development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior management with project budgets, re‑forecasting and variance analysis across active developments.
• Manage project accounting from acquisition through delivery, including development cost tracking and drawdown reporting.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts at both project and group level.
• Source and analyse cost information from architects, quantity surveyors, project managers and site teams, turning it into reliable reports.
• Execute month‑end reporting, support audit processes and determine necessary disclosures.
• Collaborate with corporate finance, directors and external stakeholders such as funders and JV partners.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 1‑3 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a Big 4 or Top 10 environment is preferred.
• Background in property, construction, engineering or a similar project‑driven sector is ideal.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across site teams, consultants and senior management.
