Senior Accountant – SME Practice (Kildare)

About the role

Our client, a leading accountancy and business advisory practice in County Kildare, is seeking a Qualified Senior Accountant to join a high‑visibility team. You will work directly with the Lead Partner, supporting a diverse portfolio of SME clients and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements for SMEs in line with FRS 102/105.
• Provide proactive advisory services on cash flow, growth strategies and business planning.
• Prepare and file Corporation Tax, Income Tax and VAT returns.
• Review and mentor junior staff and trainees.
• Manage day‑to‑day client relationships, ensuring deadlines are met with high‑quality output.

Required profile

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CPA).
• 2–3 years of experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and tax compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or CCH.
