Senior Accounts Manager (Hybrid, Cork)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accounts Manager to lead a team of accountants and trainees within a growing Cork‑based accountancy and consulting practice. The role focuses on leadership, quality review and delivering insightful financial analysis to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of qualified accountants and trainees, overseeing their development and ensuring high‑quality output.
• Review management accounts and all client‑facing deliverables before sign‑off.
• Investigate gross‑margin variances, devise action plans to improve margins and reduce costs.
• Implement and evaluate internal controls and working‑capital management processes.
• Provide full financial control services to a portfolio of clients and present analysis with recommendations.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record preparing full sets of accounts and reviewing the work of others.
• Comfortable client‑facing and presenting financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and a natural reviewer’s eye.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
