Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevSecOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing SaaS provider in Dublin. You will lead the design, security and automation of our cloud infrastructure, embedding security into DevOps pipelines and ensuring compliance across the AWS estate.

Key responsibilities

• Design and secure AWS architectures using services such as EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, Security Hub, and more.
• Implement privilege‑access models, network segmentation, and secure connectivity (VPC peering, PrivateLink).
• Harden CI/CD pipelines by integrating security tools and automated checks.
• Develop and maintain secure Infrastructure‑as‑Code templates with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Secure container workloads on Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Set up monitoring and logging with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Datadog.
• Build custom scripts and tooling for proactive detection, response, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure environments meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and enforce guardrails via AWS Config and SCPs.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS services and security best practices.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Familiarity with security tools like Snyk, Aqua, Prisma Cloud, HashiCorp Vault.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and secure SDLC principles.
• Preferred: AWS Certified Security – Specialty or related AWS certifications.
