Senior Claims Handler (Wexford)

About the role

Zurich Insurance’s Wexford Claims Team is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to manage material damage claims. Reporting to a Team Coach, you will work with first‑ and third‑party claimants and collaborate with underwriting, finance and sales to deliver outcomes in line with the Zurich Way of Claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of material damage claims, driving each case to timely and accurate settlement within personal authority limits.
• Provide high‑standard customer service while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and Zurich standards.
• Maintain and update internal and external stakeholders on claim progress, including brokers, service providers and claimants.
• Utilise telematics technology to improve claim outcomes and support continuous improvement through quality audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of insurance claims experience, handling moderate to high‑complexity material damage claims.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CIP, MDI or ACII (or working towards).
• Strong technical insurance knowledge, decision‑making ability and solid numeric skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to manage relationships with customers, brokers and third‑party claimants.
• Experience engaging with suppliers and external vendors and a willingness to adapt to business change.
