Senior Cloud Technical Lead (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

As a Senior Cloud Technical Lead within SAS’s Cloud and Information Services division, you will drive the delivery and management of hosted and remotely managed SAS application environments. Working closely with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation teams, you will ensure world‑class service quality and help customers transform data into intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer projects from kickoff through UAT and go‑live, providing technical oversight across the entire lifecycle.
• Provide expert consultation for major post‑deployment changes such as upgrades, migrations, and complex issue resolution.
• Define and validate technical requirements to avoid delays, enhance system stability, and ensure compliance with SAS Cloud standards.
• Act as a SAS Administrator for high‑complexity tasks, configure and debug mid‑tier software, manage container‑based applications, and develop tooling for SAS and third‑party software.
• Apply IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management while creating and maintaining runbooks, knowledge‑base articles, and wiki content.
• Mentor and train team members, sharing best practices in enterprise application architecture and support.
• Collaborate with global R&D, Product, Technical Support, and CIS teams to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in cloud infrastructure and SaaS application delivery.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of guiding cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and fostering knowledge sharing.
