Senior Consultant – Private Equity Fund Accounting

About the role

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Private Equity Fund Accounting team in Limerick. The role combines leadership of a high‑performing team with direct responsibility for delivering accurate NAVs, valuations and client reporting in line with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee team output, manage workloads and ensure deadlines and SLAs are consistently met.
• Review and approve NAV calculations, valuations and client reporting deliverables.
• Coach, train and support team members, fostering a collaborative and respectful culture.
• Act as primary contact for clients and external auditors, handling queries and regulatory reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation using Investran.
• Support onboarding of new funds, including structure and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as offshore team development and departmental goals.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with extensive post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS, and Irish regulatory and tax requirements for fund accounting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with Investran or similar fund accounting systems.
