Senior Diagnostic Technician – Volkswagen & Škoda

About the role

Join a leading Dublin dealership as a Senior Diagnostic Technician, working on Volkswagen and Škoda vehicles. You will operate in a modern workshop, using the latest diagnostic tools and receiving ongoing manufacturer training.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on VW and Škoda models.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using manufacturer diagnostic systems.
• Complete warranty, recall and campaign work in line with manufacturer requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and identify additional repair needs.
• Accurately complete job cards, repair documentation and workshop records.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround.
• Maintain a clean, organised workshop and adhere to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Motor Vehicle Technician with a valid driving licence.
• Proven experience in a franchised dealership or professional workshop environment.
• Previous Volkswagen Group experience, especially VW or Škoda, is highly desirable.
• Strong diagnostic, fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Positive, customer‑focused attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
