Senior Employment Counsel – Dublin

About the role

The Global Employment Law team at TikTok is expanding and seeks a seasoned Employment Counsel to support HR and business stakeholders across Ireland, the UK and the broader EMEA region. Based in Dublin, you will join an in‑house legal group that provides strategic advice, policy development and litigation support for the company’s fast‑growing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, shaping employment strategy and policy in Ireland, the UK and other EMEA jurisdictions.
• Provide counsel on all aspects of the employment relationship, including recruitment, global mobility, workplace investigations, terminations and disputes.
• Collaborate with Global Legal colleagues to deliver cohesive advice on regional and global initiatives.
• Support the company’s growth agenda by delivering risk‑based, business‑focused legal solutions.
• Draft and review employment policies, agreements and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Design and deliver internal training on employment‑law matters.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in Ireland or the United Kingdom.
• Minimum of 5 years of employment‑law experience in a top‑tier law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Proven ability to navigate cross‑border employment issues, including collective employment rights such as works councils and trade unions.
• Experience advising on GDPR matters and collaborating with data‑privacy counsel.
• Excellent judgment, integrity, interpersonal and communication skills, with strong legal writing ability.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to manage a varied workload and prioritize effectively.
