Senior Employment Knowledge Lawyer

About the role

This senior position is focused on developing and delivering employment law knowledge across a leading Irish corporate law firm. You will work closely with partners and a large team of employment lawyers to translate Irish and EU employment law developments into practical guidance for both lawyers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute the practice’s knowledge and business development plan with partners.
• Monitor and communicate significant Irish and EU employment law changes.
• Transform new legislation, case law, and market trends into client updates, briefings, and training materials.
• Enhance the accuracy, accessibility, and commercial value of employment law precedents and resources.
• Lead the ongoing development of the team’s employment law knowledge database.
• Design and deliver training for clients, junior lawyers, and the wider practice.
• Provide technical support on complex employment and industrial relations queries.
• Represent the practice at seminars, conferences, and professional events.
• Assist partners in evaluating legal technology and AI for knowledge delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least five years PQE in employment law.
• Deep knowledge of Irish employment law from private practice, in‑house, or similar environments.
• Experience advising on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Ability to explain complex legal developments through practical advice, training, and written content.
• Strong project‑management skills and sound judgement in prioritising tasks.
• Confident communicator and presenter with partners, clients, and lawyers.
