Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a large, high‑performing finance function within a complex and evolving utilities organisation. The role provides strong exposure to financial reporting, audit coordination, controls and continuous improvement projects, with clear long‑term career development potential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process, including financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Support IFRS compliance and drive financial controls and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders and oversee junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical ability.
• Effective stakeholder management and commercial mindset.
