Senior HR Business Partner – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR leadership on a 12‑month maternity‑cover contract. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will work closely with senior management across a multi‑site organisation to align people strategy with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to design and implement HR strategies that support organisational objectives.
• Advise on workforce planning, succession planning and organisational development.
• Lead complex employee‑relations cases, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Coach managers on performance management, development planning and compliance with employment legislation.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to address capability gaps and drive engagement initiatives.
• Provide HR analytics and workforce insights to inform decision‑making and monitor key metrics such as turnover and engagement.
• Support talent review, workforce planning and leadership development activities.
• Contribute to HR projects, policy optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a senior HR Business Partner or advisor in a large, multi‑site or complex organisation.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
• Deep knowledge of employment law, employee relations and HR best practice.
• Experience in organisational development, change management and talent initiatives.
• Strong analytical capability with experience using HR data to drive decisions.
• Experience in construction, engineering or project‑based environments is advantageous.
