Senior / Lead .NET Developer – Hybrid, Dublin

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead .NET Developer to drive technical leadership in designing and building modern, cloud‑native software systems. The role combines hands‑on coding with architecture design, mentoring and cross‑team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high‑performance applications using .NET Core (C#).
• Define and evolve system architecture with a focus on microservices and distributed, message‑driven systems.
• Promote best practices in software design, coding standards and engineering processes.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to development teams.
• Participate in architectural decisions, solution design and technical strategy.
• Ensure systems are resilient, observable and maintainable in production.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, design sessions and drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long‑term fixes.

Required profile

• Third‑level degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of commercial experience developing with .NET / C#.
• Proven experience with .NET Core and modern backend development.
• Strong background in designing and working with message‑based distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Deep understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and lead by example.
