Senior Pharmacist – Public Sector (Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Pharmacist to join a public‑sector healthcare programme in Dublin. The role is initially for 24 months, offering a competitive salary of €77,045 per annum, and may include a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Implementation Lead to deploy pharmacy software across publicly funded acute and non‑acute hospitals.
• Act as Site Lead, managing pre‑implementation project plans and change‑management activities.
• Engage with hospital pharmacy teams, IT departments and the software vendor to ensure successful adoption.
• Provide national‑level expertise to ensure safe and efficient medicines management.
• Support product development to align with user and client integration requirements.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and contribute to training and in‑service education.
• Maintain compliance with HIQA standards and promote sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (or eligible for registration).
• Minimum three years post‑registration experience in hospital, community or national programme settings.
• Demonstrated ability to discharge duties with a high standard of suitability.
