Senior Project Engineer, R&D

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Senior Project Engineer in its Cork office, working in a hybrid arrangement. The engineer supports the development of innovative orthopaedic products from concept through market launch within a regulated medical device environment, focusing on technical execution, product development and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role also gives guidance and technical support to engineering colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons to gather input for the design and evaluation of new Trauma products
• Take part in cadaver labs and consultant panel discussions
• Develop implant and instrument solutions
• Participate in product development and design improvement activities within cross-functional teams
• Mentor junior engineers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering, science or a related field; master's degree preferred
• At least 2 years of product development experience in the medical device industry or equivalent
• Able to lead complex product development initiatives from concept through release
• Able to apply design controls within a regulated industry
• Able to achieve work objectives independently and as a team member or leader

Required skills

• Experience with a parametric CAD design package
• Pro/Engineer preferred

What we offer

• Pay range in Ireland of EUR 47,000 to 77,000 per year
