Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of construction projects from planning through to handover. The role requires delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a group of projects through design, construction, commissioning and defect liability periods.
• Lead procurement processes and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
• Oversee financial performance, client reporting and communication with bank monitors.
• Ensure compliance with codes of practice, design standards and health & safety regulations.
• Act as the primary client contact, maintaining satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise project managers, providing technical and contractual support and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate project interfaces and manage change control across all stages.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction sector.
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Chartered (or on pathway) with RIAI, RICS, CIOB, IE, APM or an equivalent institution.
• Strong industry network and proven ability to advise clients transparently.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision‑making skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Project Management software and related toolsets.
