Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

BnM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale renewable energy projects from planning through to operation. The role sits within the Renewable Energy programme and is responsible for delivering wind, solar, battery storage and grid infrastructure projects that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of renewable energy infrastructure projects, covering planning, commercialisation, construction, commissioning and operation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams in a matrix environment, working with the PMO, technical experts and operational stakeholders.
• Procure construction contracts, negotiate long‑term offtake agreements and secure project financing in collaboration with functional leads.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cost controls to ensure financial viability and value for money.
• Obtain planning consents, permits and statutory approvals and ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental and grid requirements.
• Serve as primary liaison for contractors, regulators, technology suppliers and community partners.
• Analyse project risk profiles, provide regular updates to shareholders and prepare investment approval documentation.
• Oversee operational handover and ensure readiness for full‑scale operation.
• Deliver transparent project reporting and maintain governance in line with PMO methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage or grid infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of project finance, contract procurement and regulatory approval processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent risk management and reporting capabilities.
• Track record of ensuring projects meet commercial, technical and financial targets.
