Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our International Tax Team. The role will lead the coordination and governance of tax compliance for AMCS’s Irish and overseas entities, while championing automation and AI‑driven efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Review and provide technical oversight of VAT and corporation tax calculations prepared by team members.
• Offer guidance and feedback to improve quality and knowledge within the tax team.
• Perform high‑level analytical reviews, validations and reconciliation checks before filing.
• Ensure supporting documentation and audit trails are robust and filing‑ready.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to finalise and file VAT, GST and corporation tax returns.
• Manage filing timetables, deliverables and dependencies across internal teams and advisors.
• Support revenue queries and audits, coordinating responses internally and externally.
• Review tax‑related balances, journals and reconciliations; support tax disclosures in statutory financial statements.
• Assist with provision versus return reviews to align accounting and tax outputs.
• Identify and lead automation opportunities for VAT and corporation tax processes.

Required profile

• Technically strong tax professional with solid commercial awareness.
• Comfortable owning core tax deliverables in a fast‑growing, technology‑led environment.
• Proactive champion of automation and AI tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
