Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading professional services organisation, is seeking a Senior Technical Project/Programme Manager to drive large‑scale technology transformation programmes. The role will oversee end‑to‑end delivery, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure strategic objectives are met across enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex technology and business transformation programmes from initiation to implementation.
• Develop and maintain programme roadmaps, controlling milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, aligning them with business goals and organisational priorities.
• Build and sustain relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations.
• Manage programme governance, including budgets, risk, issue resolution, resource planning and benefits realisation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across internal functions, third‑party suppliers and external partners.
• Promote best‑practice project management methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities to enhance technology delivery capabilities.
• Mentor project managers and delivery teams to foster high performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years delivering complex technology programmes in consulting, professional services or large enterprises (or 10+ years in industry).
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale digital transformation, systems integration or enterprise change programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical functions.
• Experience overseeing programme governance, financial management and reporting.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed or matrix‑managed teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
