Senior Vice President, Software Engineering – Commercial Acceptance

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead Software Engineering for its Commercial Acceptance platform. This executive will shape the technology roadmap, drive product innovation, and foster a high‑performing, globally distributed engineering culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a detailed technology roadmap in partnership with product and technology leadership.
• Provide thought leadership for new product development and drive commercial payment flows across domains.
• Lead large, diverse engineering teams delivering enhancements to core platforms supporting Mastercard’s commercial business.
• Set direction, tone, and strategy for globally distributed teams within the Product & Engineering framework.
• Promote operational stability by reducing incidents, improving mean time to mitigation, and minimizing toil.
• Collaborate with People & Culture and recruitment to nurture technology talent across multiple locations.
• Align product, engineering, and regional teams on strategy, priorities, and growth objectives.
• Build executive‑level partnerships to ensure cross‑functional alignment and execute shared initiatives.
