Service Technician – Maintenance of Automation Systems

About the role

As a Service Technician at Vanderlande’s Musgrave Distribution Centre, you will ensure that the automated logistics equipment operates reliably and safely. You will be responsible for maintaining mechanical, electrical and control systems to keep production flowing and meet health‑and‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on a variety of automated installations.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and control‑technical faults.
• Carry out preventive and periodic maintenance in collaboration with the maintenance team.
• Assist with equipment availability, productivity, and quality targets.
• Work safely at heights, in restrictive spaces and handle heavy components such as motors and rollers.

Required profile

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in a mechanical/electrical maintenance discipline.
• Willingness to work shift patterns, including nights.
• Experience with maintenance planning in an industrial or FMCG environment is desirable.
• Ability to work in noisy, high‑traffic, and elevated environments.
