Settlement Specialist

About the role

The Settlement Specialist will manage end‑to‑end financial billing, transaction settlement and accounting operations for JD International’s cross‑border business entities. You will ensure high‑volume transaction reconciliation, daily merchant/vendor settlements and month‑end closing while supporting cross‑departmental financial collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle daily billing and settlement for B2C/B2B revenues, logistics fees and merchant payouts.
• Execute multi‑dimensional data reconciliation across business systems, bank statements and third‑party payment gateways.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, verify compliance of original financial documents and ensure ledger consistency.
• Prepare monthly billing reports, AR/AP aging analysis and financial statements for international operations.
• Conduct variance analysis on transaction fees, identify discrepancies and provide insights for management decisions.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks, promote automation, system iteration and platform integration to improve financial SOPs.
• Coordinate with internal and external audit teams, supply settlement logs and explanations, and support overseas tax compliance (VAT/GST).
• Assess financial risks such as inventory impairment, receivable defaults and PSP rolling reserves, and implement risk‑control measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transaction settlement, billing and month‑end closing for cross‑border e‑commerce operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation, variance analysis and audit coordination.
• Familiarity with international tax compliance (VAT/GST) and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive automation and system improvements.
