Shift Lead – Retail Operations (Killarney)

About the role

The Shift Lead will oversee the daily fill operation of a busy M&S store in Killarney, ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers and that the store runs smoothly during opening and closing periods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation, coordinating resources to serve, sell and fill the floor.
• Coach colleagues on best practices and drive productivity for store opening.
• Allocate staff to deliver quick payment experiences and maintain clean, safe, well‑presented store standards.
• Act as a role model for customer service, M&S behaviours and colleague expectations.
• Support Colleague Managers with performance observations and recognise high‑performing staff.
• Provide key‑holder duties, handle cash, manage temperature controls, log operational issues and ensure TSL compliance.
• Assist nearby stores when operationally required.

Required profile

• Good digital capability with the ability to use relevant store systems.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to allocate resources effectively.
• Ability to coach and motivate a diverse team.
• Flexibility for opening and closing shifts.
