Shunter – Yard Operations (Shift 14:00-22:00)

About the role

As a Shunter you will keep the yard operating smoothly and safely during the afternoon shift, Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:00. You will be a key part of the critical infrastructure that moves goods across Europe and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Safely manoeuvre vehicles and trailers around the yard.
• Carry out basic vehicle inspections and follow safety protocols.
• Couple and uncouple trailers in line with site procedures.
• Use approved hand signals and communication methods to coordinate movements.
• Ensure all activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with colleagues to support smooth yard flow.
• Report any issues or defects promptly to supervisors.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of driving experience in a controlled yard environment.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly.
• Enjoy hands‑on work, teamwork and fast‑paced operations.
